I live in the capitol city of the Cherokee Nation, a town called Tahlequah. In my Shawnee language, it means all gone. That's what it was for me for sure once I got addicted. But for the past 7 years I've been working hard to change my life and the community here I live in. We have online formats and in person too where we teach others about the 12 steps to recovery in a Medicine Wheel Teachings format. Its helped me tremendously since 2020 to gain deeper understanding of the steps. We as Wellbriety Pathfinders have also contributed to the founding of Peaceful Warrior's Way Recovery Coaching with PRSS & most recently, the WRAP Project (Working to Recover Assist & Protect) where the emphasis is getting addicts out of the never ending revolving door of the judicial system.

There's so much that we've got going on here, our mission is to show Indian Territory what recovery looks like!

SSO is a public group and more of a hub of all recovery support. This group also has those options under the Coverpage with Chats, Featured meetings, etc.

It was created as an extension of Sober Squad from MN as part of the RECOVERY MOVEMENT. Sober Squad started in 2017 when Popz & I was on the Longest Walk 5. That was the year we got White Clay shut down up in Pine Ridge. Anyway, that was also when Popz 17 year old son took his life. So connecting Sober Squad with the significant meaning of 2017 made sense to do so and that's how it all came to be. This year will be our 3rd Spring and we will celebrate with a Spring Wellbriety Gathering as we did our first year. We had just little under a hundred. We are 100% self supporting as any traditional recovery support group. We also go to cultural activities together to promote our culture. Oklahoma is the only land in the US that was stolen twice from us so in many ways, just practicing culture is recovery in itself. Anyway, here's the link to that group:
